Our US Partner is a dynamic and client-focused law firm experienced in employment law with a focus on representing corporate-management defendants.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Litigation Paralegal to join our growing Employment Law team. In this role, you will provide critical support to attorney in all stages of employment litigation, from pre-claim investigation to trial preparation and post-trial procedures. You will work closely with the attorney and clients to ensure the efficient and effective management of employment law cases.

This is a full-time role, on a US shift and on a WFH set-up.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research on various employment law issues, including discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and workplace safety.
  • Assist attorneys with pre-claim investigation, case intake, and initial case assessments.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production of documents), and other legal documents related to employment law cases.
  • Manage and maintain electronic case files, ensuring all documents are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other court appearances.
  • Assist attorney with witness preparation, including conducting interviews and gathering relevant information.
  • Prepare and manage exhibits and evidence for trial.
  • Maintain case calendars and deadlines and keep attorneys apprised of upcoming events.
  • Perform legal research and analysis to support the development of case strategy.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • May assist with filing court documents electronically.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate or associate's degree in paralegal studies preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on employment law a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employment law principles and practices.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management software.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to deadlines
