Procurement Planning

  • Collaborate with project managers and relevant stakeholders to understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop procurement strategies to optimize costs, minimize risks, and ensure timely availability of materials and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.

Vendor Management

  • Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or delivery schedules.

Purchase Order Processing

  • Generate purchase orders accurately based on project requirements, specifications, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and logistical arrangements.
  • Track and monitor order status, expedite deliveries as necessary, and communicate any changes or updates to relevant stakeholders.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock availability, and consumption rates.
  • Coordinate with warehouse or inventory teams to ensure adequate stock levels to support ongoing construction activities.

Compliance And Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
  • Maintain proper documentation of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor communications.

Cost Analysis And Reporting

  • Analyze procurement data, expenditures, and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing procurement activities, budget utilization, and key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with finance and project teams to forecast future procurement needs and budgets accurately.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, construction management, or related field.

Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry. (atleast 1 year)

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable terms and resolve conflicts.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry regulations is advantageous.

Must be flexible, and can work under pressure
