Job Summary:
The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, personnel, and company assets. This role ensures timely deliveries, adheres to traffic and safety regulations, and maintains the assigned vehicle in good condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation & Delivery:
Transport company personnel, equipment, and materials to designated locations safely and efficiently.
Ensure timely deliveries and pickups based on the assigned schedule.
Verify delivery documents and ensure proper handling of goods.
Assist in loading and unloading items when necessary.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:
Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functionality.
Report any mechanical issues, damages, or needed repairs to the supervisor.
Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
Comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel usage records, and vehicle maintenance reports.
Secure and verify all delivery and transportation documents.
Report any accidents, delays, or issues encountered during trips.
General Support:
Assist in warehouse, logistics, or office tasks when not on the road.
Support other operational needs as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid professional driver’s license (restrictions 1, 2, or 3, depending on the type of vehicle operated).
At least 2 years of experience as a company or delivery driver.
Good knowledge of traffic laws, routes, and road conditions.
Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items when needed.
