Aesthetician

Job Summary:
An Aesthetician provides professional skincare treatments to clients, helping them maintain or improve the appearance of their skin. They perform a variety of facials, waxing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and other non-invasive skin treatments. Aestheticians also offer guidance on skincare routines and product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
Facials & Skincare Treatments:
Perform customized facials for clients based on their skin type and concerns.
Provide treatments like microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and extractions.
Apply hydrating, soothing, and anti-aging masks.
Use various equipment for deep cleansing and exfoliation.
Hair Removal Services:
Perform waxing (eyebrows, upper lip, legs, etc.) and other hair removal methods such as sugaring or threading.
Makeup Application:
Apply makeup for special occasions, including weddings, proms, or photo shoots.
Recommend skincare products that complement makeup use.
Skin Analysis & Consultations:
Conduct skin analyses to assess conditions such as acne, rosacea, sun damage, and fine lines.
Recommend personalized skincare routines, products, and services tailored to individual needs.
Educate clients on proper skincare habits, including sun protection and hydration.
Non-Invasive Treatments:
Offer LED light therapy, high-frequency treatments, or ultrasonic facials for acne, aging, and skin rejuvenation.
Assist with dermaplaning or microneedling in some advanced settings.

Client Safety & Hygiene:
Ensure all equipment and tools are sanitized and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Follow proper techniques and protocols to avoid irritation, infection, or injury.
Record Keeping & Administration:
Maintain accurate client records regarding skin types, treatment history, and preferences.
Keep up-to-date with trends, new products, and techniques in the skincare industry.

Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Candidate must be a graduate of any 4-year course
Preferably with at least 1 year of related experience.

Key Skills:
Customer service skills, as many clients seek skincare services for relaxation and improvement of their appearance.
Strong knowledge of skincare products and ingredients.
Excellent communication skills to explain treatments and recommend products effectively.
Ability to recognize different skin types and conditions to personalize treatments.
