Telemarketing Staff

Job Summary:

The Telemarketing Staff is responsible for reaching out to potential and existing bidders to invite them to participate in weekly auctions. The role focuses on increasing bidder turnout through clear communication, courteous service, and effective promotion of IRA Auction events.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Call and follow up with regular and potential bidders to invite them to the weekly auction
Promote upcoming containers, featured items, and auction schedules clearly and enthusiastically
Maintain a professional and polite tone when handling inquiries, follow-ups, and feedback
Update call sheets and daily logs of customers contacted
Submit attendance reports of confirmed or interested bidders
Assist with answering basic auction-related queries from customers over the phone or via text/call apps
Handle sensitive customer information responsibly

Qualifications:
College Graduate
Clear and confident verbal communication skills
Can handle phone-based and face to face customer service
Must be talkative, friendly, and confident, but knows boundaries when speaking with bidders
Motivated to meet target number of bidders weekly
Willing to find and encourage new bidders and maintain good rapport with regular ones
Has basic Excel or Google Sheets skills for tracking contacts and leads
Can work under pressure and during high-call-volume days before auctions
Familiarity with basic mobile messaging platforms (e.g., Viber, WhatsApp, FB Messenger) is a plus
Has basic familiarity with editing photos/videos (e.g., for auction teasers or reminders)
Familiar with using Facebook Page, TikTok, and other social media platforms
Able to take clear photos/videos of items (if needed for posting)
Willing to be assigned tasks beyond calls, such as basic report formatting or helping during auction events
Knows how to keep sensitive contact lists and records confidential and secure
Trustworthy, punctual, and consistent in attendance
Experience in telemarketing or tele sales is an advantage but not required
