1. Operates and maintains wastewater treatment, and handling equipment.

2. Tends pumps, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum filters, and other equipment used to treat wastewater.

3. Collect samples and make routine chemical analyses of wastewater at various points in the plant process.

4. Cleans intake pump and screens of P1 and P2.

5. Monitors pest

6. Monitors control panels and manually adjusts valves and gates to regulate wastewater flow through settling aeration, and sludge digestion processes.

7. Ensure the daily chlorination of process water for production, and domestic water for Labs, offices, and utilities.

8. Reads and interprets charts, flow meters, and other gauges to determine the operating efficiency of equipment.

9. Maintains the surrounding grounds.

10. Maintains logs, records, and reports relative to the work.

11. Requisition supplies and materials.

12. Coordinates work by scheduling assignments and overseeing the work of other Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators.

13. Explains work instructions and adapts, if necessary, pertinent general methods and procedures in order to meet required needs.

14. Provide training to other Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators.
