Payroll Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Calculate wages, deductions, superannuation, and other statutory obligations in compliance with Australian standards.
Prepare and submit BAS, PAYG, and other payroll-related reports.
Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure alignment with financial records.
Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
Ensure compliance with Australian payroll laws, regulations, and awards.
Assist with audits, providing payroll information as required.
Address payroll-related queries from employees and management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in payroll and accounting, preferably with Australian accounts.
Hands-on experience with payroll software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.
Skills:
Strong understanding of Australian payroll laws, tax regulations, and superannuation.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reconciliation.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
