About the Role

The Web Developer (Project-Based) will support a short-term project for a consumer electronics retail business, focusing on building, optimizing, and maintaining responsive, secure, and high-performing websites. This is a hands-on, onsite role working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver project-based web solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive and mobile-friendly websites
  • Implement API integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms
  • Optimize website performance, security, and scalability following best practices
  • Apply technical SEO standards to improve site visibility and performance
  • Ensure compliance with web security best practices and data protection standards
  • Collaborate on UX/UI improvements, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles
  • Work with CMS platforms such as Magento, WordPress, and Shopify
  • Support backend development tasks, including database integration and server-side logic
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure site reliability
  • Document technical work, configurations, and project deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of API integration, performance optimization, security best practices, and technical SEO
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with backend languages and databases
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and UX/UI best practices
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (Magento, WordPress, Shopify)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a project-based, full onsite environment
