Containerization Engineer

Qualifications
This role requires expertise in containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, as well as hands-on experience with containerization tools and best practices.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Containerization Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Kubernetes.
3. Strong understanding of containerization concepts and technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
4. Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
5. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
6. Experience with containerization tools such as Docker Compose, Kubernetes Operators, or Istio.
7. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their integration with Kubernetes.
8. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining containerized applications using Kubernetes orchestration.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters to orchestrate containerized applications.
2. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying containerized applications.
3. Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and refactor monolithic architectures into microservices.
4. Implement and enforce best practices for container security, including image scanning, network policies, and RBAC.
5. Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues.
6. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
7. Ensure high availability and reliability of containerized applications by implementing proper disaster recovery and failover strategies.
8. Stay up-to-date with Kubernetes releases, features, and best practices to continuously improve container orchestration processes.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to junior containerization engineers and other team members.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective containerized solutions.
