Drake’s top client – a manufacturer of chemicals and industrial solutions is currently hiring for a Head of Procurement to be part of their collaborative team in Mandaluyong City.

Summary:
This person, directly reporting to the Head of Finance & Supply – VIP Cluster and with dotted line responsibility to the Country Head, PH. The role will ensure implementation of the Linde Procurement Standards to guide the organization’s vendor cost management. sourcing behavior, minimize risks to the company. It’s required to deliver compliance in all sourcing processes in conjunction with the organization’s strategic directions. Will ensure the proper sourcing process flow in the country in coordination with the Purchase-to-Pay procedures established by Linde back office for transactional procurement activities. He/She will lead, develop, and coach a team of Lead Buyers to drive cost reduction.

Responsibilities:
• Set up and manage of a consistent procurement process in conjunction with Management strategic directions.
• Works closely with the business to ensure the process is fully understood and used for all appropriate areas of spend.
• Installs appropriate systems and resource to provide suitable service level to the business.
• Implement expenditure controls with checking, authorization & sign off processes to ensure purchases are fully justified and approved.
• Controlling all areas of spend that do not utilize the PO processes, e.g. One-Time Vendors (OTV) and emergency purchases (Maverick spend).
• Other functions:
o Supplier Evaluation, Selection and Appraisal
o Supplier Negotiation
o Commercial Agreement with Suppliers
o Cost Management
o Compliance with preferred suppliers
o Coordination with LGS-M on Operational Procurement Activities
o Supplier-related Reporting and Communication
o Business Support
o Safety through Suppliers
o Personal ownership on safety
o SRM Workflow Admin
o People Management

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Business, Finance or Engineering With 10 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Worked in a manufacturing or industrial-related industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP/SRM/e-Sourcing systems.
• Proficient in Tagalog and English, with excellent communication, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities to lead teams, make high-level decisions, and possesses robust planning and organizational talents.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
