The main responsibilities of a SENIOR TAX ANALYST include:

Gather, analyze, and prepare transaction tax data for sales tax, VAT, & GST return preparation and reconcile tax accounts on a monthly basis
Ad hoc run tax reports for tax compliance
Review exemption certificates for validity
Support the month-end close process by preparing and validating tax reports, reconciliations, and accruals
Assist with monthly journal entries to accrue local taxes and liabilities
Assist with R&D credit study documentation
Assist with tax determination engine testing and validation
Assist with local tax filings, including sales and use tax, franchise tax, and census reporting and other taxes
Assist with populating forms for tax registration in various jurisdictions
Prepare monthly VAT/GST receivable & payable reconciliations
Reconcile monthly sales transactions for tax reporting
Assist with various VAT compliance work, including validating VAT numbers, cross-referencing IP address with billing addresses, and searching for VAT numbers
Assist with other ad hoc tax projects as required


To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

4+ years of work experience in Tax Accounting in a public accounting firm, preferably with US Tax experience
Big 4 Accounting experience strongly preferred

Must have a college degree in Accountancy
Can manage multiple-high demand projects at once while completing each engagement within budget
Excellent technical skills across a broad range of accounting and tax issues
Top-notch professionalism with staff in high pressure situations

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, NetSuite and similar Accounting software, a must
Working knowledge of Vertex
Willing to work in US/night shift
Willing to work onsite in Metro Manila at a future date
