Job Summary:
The Warehouseman is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of goods in a warehouse setting. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring proper inventory control and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Unload, sort, and store goods in their designated areas.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
Maintain inventory records and assist in regular stock counts.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
Comply with all safety regulations and company procedures.
Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks.
Report any damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse or logistics experience is an advantage.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift certification a plus).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer or inventory system knowledge is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
Physical work in a warehouse environment.
May require standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and climbing.
Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the warehouse setting.
