The Field Support Engineer will provide field support services, remotely or directly supervise IT maintenance activities, travel time to time to perform installations or maintenance at customer sites and assist development support as needed.
Responsibilities:
Manage and perform on-site technical services across Assigned Regions– travel required
Remotely or guide installations of any client IT Shared System.
Knowledge transfer: build and maintain knowledge pages for Field Support
Technical focal point for any question raised by IT Service Desk Support or Field Engineers during an on-site activity. This may require working outside business hours
Monitoring equipment, preparing purchasing requests for materials needed for each project and writing daily and monthly reports regarding maintenance work provided.
Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve all IT related issues locally or remotely from both internal departments and external providers, vendors or clients
Communication with clients as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, or agreed outages
Escalate service issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
