WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a tech-savvy Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our growing team at Unloop Accounting. You will work directly with our clients to help scale our technology-driven bookkeeping company. This role is for an ambitious team player looking to be part of a fast-growing company. Your job will be to handle the day-to-day accounting for many of our clients and use technology to automate our service.
- Handle our eCommerce clients’ monthly bookkeeping in QBO and Xero.
- Categorize transactions, compute COGS, generate profitability reports, KPIs, run payroll, manage AP.
- Using technology, ensure Amazon, Shopify, and other sales channels are connected to QBO or Xero and that data is flowing accurately.
- Check-in with our clients in their dedicated Slack channel and deliver their own deliverables on time.
- Manage client deliverables and ensure deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded. We go above and beyond for our clients.
- Document Unloop and client-specific procedures in ClickUp and continuously look for new ways to automate and streamline the accounting for your clients.
- Oversee relationships with clients. Ensure client communication is clear, frequent, and tailored to business needs. Make improvements as needed.

Am I qualified for the position?We don’t believe in a strict list of “qualifications”. We care more about the passion for the industry and role, the grit you have to learn new challenges, and your ability to work well with others Here are some general guidelines of what we’re looking for:
- You have at least 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, which includes: categorizing transactions, departmental bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation.
- You have experience managing a book of clients. You know how to communicate effectively with clients through messaging (text, no voice or video calls).
- You have extensive experience with one of QBO or Xero.
- You have experience or a solid understanding of inventory and COGS accounting.
- You love working with new technologies. You have excellent computer skills and enjoy automating tasks with web-based software.
- You take initiative and get things done. If you don’t understand something you can usually figure it out on your own.
- You are an accounting guru and genuinely love working with financial numbers.
- You’re looking for an exciting role in the bookkeeping world. You want to be challenged in a fun, supportive and entrepreneurial environment.
- You have worked in an accounting firm or have other client service experience.
Bonus points (not required):
- You have experience with eCommerce.
- You have managed a team before. (working with remote and international team members would be an asset)
