The Investment Officer is responsible for managing and improving BPI Wealth's existing product offerings and providing customer specific investment ideas. This include generating new investment ideas and products, restructuring old funds/products, constant dialogue with global fund managers and financial institutions for new ideas and market updates and anticipating global and local investment trends. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Head of Investment Product and Wealth Technology Solutions in finding appropriate conventional and non-conventional solutions for the investment needs of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provides BPI Wealth clients with customized solutions based on their investment objectives through pooled funds (UITFs, mutual funds, others), segregated portfolio management, advisory
  • Oversees and manages the global funds advisory platform
  • Performs day-to-day fund management of global UITFs and MFs
  • Takes an active role on financial product innovations and investments, such as product ideation, product structuring, derivatives, etc.
  • Contributes in strategy enhancement through research and scenario analysis, and contributing in business development by maintaining relationships with foreign fund managers, counterparties and product providers
  • Communicates global investment best practices and governance
  • Identifies ideal wealth systems/ solutions for investments

Qualifications
  • College graduate, preferably with a degree in business or finance-related courses
  • Advantage if there's an experience in Asset Management, Trust, Treasury or any capital markets field
  • Knowledge of the trust business, asset management, capital markets, derivatives
  • Adept with the needed MS Office systems, good interpersonal relationship skills, good oral and written communication skills, analytical and presentation skills
  • Bloomberg proficiency is an advantage
