Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the hotel's annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for cost control or revenue enhancement.
  • Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and implement internal controls to prevent fraud or financial mismanagement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to review financial data and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Monitor purchasing and inventory management to control costs and prevent financial discrepancies.
  • Support procurement decisions with financial insights and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Supervise and train accounting staff, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Assign tasks, set objectives, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of financial accountability across departments.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and property management systems (PMS).
  • Experience in handling audits, financial planning, and compliance matters.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
