Senior Dev Ops Engineer

Seeking a highly motivated Senior Dev Ops Engineer with a strong background in full-stack web development, advanced DevOps skills, and a passion for problem-solving to join our innovative team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Automate and optimize various tools and applications under RingCentral's suite of tools to improve its cloud-based communication and collaboration business.
  2. Improve deployment of existing applications using containerization technologies.
  3. Set up, maintain, and monitor application instances.
  4. Continuously innovate, study, and apply relevant trends to new and current applications.
  5. Propose policies, guidelines, and processes that promote good software engineering practices and improve the team's productivity.
  6. Create and maintain application and process documentation.
  7. Share knowledge and skills with others.
  8. Communicate with internal customers in different RingCentral offices worldwide.

Requirements:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in software development with 1-2 years of experience using Kubernetes.
  2. Desire and passion for innovation, working on new products and ideas to create proof of concept solutions for continuous improvement.
  3. Assertiveness and proactivity in problem-solving and coming up with new ideas.
  4. Excellent work ethic and ability to work & collaborate with an agile team.
  5. Good communication, requirement analysis, and documentation skills.
  6. Attention to detail.
  7. DevOps experience.
  8. Kubernetes, Docker
  9. Git CI/CD.
  10. Vagrant.
  11. Ansible.
  12. Web development experience with Python, Django, JavaScript, JQuery.
  13. SQL - MariaDB, MySQL.
  14. Object-oriented programming.
  15. Linux system administration skills.
  16. Experience with Big Data like Elasticsearch and Kibana is a plus.
  17. Experience working in a Scrum team.
  18. Capability and willingness to be on-call.
