The Role: Technical Development Engineer (Prosumer)

What will you do?

1. Technical Skills Development
   1. New Hire Basic process and product training and coaching: The primary responsibility of a Technical Development Engineer is to provide basic process and product training to the newly hired Technical Support Engineers and Agents.
   2. Learning materials development: This includes creation and/or improvement of the training materials, exams, and anything related to learning effectiveness.
   3. Capability building: A Technical Development Engineer (TDE) may be responsible for the development and maintaining the Technical Competency and Skills Matrix.
   4. Documentation: A Technical Development Engineer (TDE) may be responsible for recording the training sessions completed in the learning management system (My LearningLink).
   5. Basic cross-skilling and upskilling training: Technical Development Engineer (TDE) may be responsible for providing the cross-skilling and upskilling for the Technical Group.
2. Advanced Technical Support Consultation
   1. Propose, create and publish Technical Articles, FAQs, and Video FAQs from handled cases.
   2. Solve Cases requiring in-depth troubleshooting assistance.
   3. Understand and follow the customer's complex solutions (EcoStuXure Architecture).
   4. Application and Environmental conditions evaluation.
   5. Site Visits may be required.
   6. Be available for inbound and outbound customer interaction received through all agreed channels.
   7. Work closely with all teams in the technical support scope.
3. Interconnected Laboratory Management
   1. Maintain the work environment, laboratory equipment, and tools.
   2. Be able to perform tests to reproduce customer behavior on demo cases.
4. Operational Support
   1. Communicate and share knowledge with other L2 Engineers as well as Primary Support.
   2. Understand the source of the problem and evaluate its impact and the mitigation actions.
   3. Manage fee-based advanced services.
   4. Maintain the right Expert knowledge according to the specialization needed.
5. Related Duties As Assigned

Qualifications

Who would be successful?

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Engineering, Information Technology or related field is required.
2. At least 3 years in Learning and Development or Training and at least basic knowledge and experience in Project Management.
3. Strong relationship management experience, with prior experience working collaboratively in a cross functional team.
4. You have the strong urge to train and develop other people.
5. You are ambitious, eager to learn, pragmatic and keen in problem-solving.
6. You take responsibility, steer strategy and realizations based on facts and data.
7. You have strong analytical skills and get energy from translating complexity into a clear vision and structure.
8. You focus on delivery through collaboration.
9. You have outstanding social and communication skills.
10. Skilled in communicating complex topics and solutions.
11. Experienced in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, et al.
