Overview

Senior Appliance Repair Technician – Relocation to Australia (Client-Sponsored). This is a client-sponsored opportunity with relocation covered. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of domestic and commercial appliances, with a solutions-focused approach to customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain domestic and commercial appliances across multiple categories.
  • Carry out appliance installations and provide technical on-site expertise.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns.
  • Deliver outstanding service to customers with a professional and solutions-focused approach.
  • Keep accurate service records and documentation.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in safe working order.
Domestic Appliances (Minimum Requirements)
  • Washing machines – top / front loader
  • Dryers – tumble / condenser / heat pump (at least one type)
  • Fridges
  • Built-in ovens – electric & gas
  • Cooktops – ceramic / induction / gas
  • Dishwashers
Bonus Skills in Domestic Appliances
  • Coffee machines
Commercial Appliances (Mandatory)
  • Washing machines
  • Dryers
  • Dishwashers
  • Glass washers
Bonus Skills in Commercial Appliances
  • Utensil washers
Brands & Technical Expertise
  • Must have experience with at least 5 Australian brands.
  • Experience with American brands (Maytag, Speed Queen, GE, Whirlpool, etc.) is highly desirable.
Licences & Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Valid driver's licence (manual preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in appliance repair.

Preferred but not mandatory:

  • Full or Restricted Gas Licence
  • Full or Restricted Electrical Licence
Experience & Attributes
  • Strong background in appliance installation and repair.
  • Previous handyman or multi-trade experience advantageous.
  • Exposure to working in different countries is valued (UAE) — technicians who "think outside the box" are encouraged.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent English communication (repair expertise is the priority).
