About the Role/Project
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP MM/IM (Materials Management/Inventory Management) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MM and IM solutions, with a strong focus on both project implementation and ongoing support. As a Senior SAP MM/IM Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of SAP MM and IM modules, offering post-go-live support, and continuously optimizing SAP solutions to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of SAP MM/IM solutions and to streamline business processes. You will also be tasked with identifying areas for improvement within the SAP MM/IM landscape, driving process enhancements, and ensuring that the system is aligned with the organization's evolving requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of seven (7) years of comprehensive experience in SAP MM/IM configuration and implementation, with a strong emphasis on S/4HANA expertise.
- At least five (5) years of experience in providing application support for SAP MM/IM, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and post-implementation support.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Inventory Management (IM) processes, including procurement, inventory control, stock management, and seamless integration across the supply chain.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering at least two (2) end-to-end SAP implementation projects, from solution design to post-implementation support, ensuring alignment with client business objectives.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation is a strong plus.
- Proven experience in application support, troubleshooting, and optimizing SAP MM/IM solutions to ensure seamless system performance and continuous business operations.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior consultants, and interact effectively with clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical and business challenges.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and a proactive approach to client engagement.
- Graduate of Bachelor's degree in any IT related course.
- Experience in implementing SAP Data archiving is a plus.
- SAP Certification is highly desirable and will be considered a valuable asset for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
SAP MM/IM Solution Design & Configuration:
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MM/IM solutions across a wide range of business processes, including Procurement, Inventory Management, Material Master, Vendor Master, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipt, and Invoice Verification.
- Oversee the configuration of SAP MM/IM modules to ensure they align with industry best practices and meet the specific needs of the client's business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, define the project scope, and translate them into clear functional specifications.
- Provide hands-on expertise in configuring SAP MM/IM solutions that are scalable, flexible, and effectively aligned with the organization's business processes.
- Design and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly with other SAP modules, such as SAP FICO, SD, WM/eWM and PP, ensuring cross-functional alignment and smooth project execution.
SAP Implementation Project:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP MM/IM in S/4HANA, including system configuration, testing, deployment, and final solution delivery, ensuring seamless integration into the client's environment.
- Configure SAP MM/IM modules according to business requirements, applying best practices to optimize material management and inventory processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to align the project timeline, resources, and deliverables, ensuring the successful execution of the SAP MM/IM implementation.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities for end-users, ensuring they are well-equipped to use the new SAP MM/IM solutions effectively.
- Provide expert guidance on SAP MM/IM capabilities, limitations, and industry-specific solutions, ensuring that the system maximizes business value and aligns with organizational goals.
- Support clients in identifying and implementing process improvements and optimizations within the SAP MM/IM landscape, enhancing efficiency and business outcomes.
Integration & Testing:
- Lead integration efforts across various SAP modules (SD, PP, QM, WM/eWM, FICO, etc.) and third-party applications, ensuring seamless business processes and data flow.
- Develop comprehensive testing strategies, plan and execute unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to validate the final solution during UAT and resolve any issues identified during testing.
Support & Optimization:
- Provide continuous post-implementation support to ensure the smooth operation of SAP MM/IM, troubleshooting, and resolving system performance issues or user challenges as they arise.
- Proactively identify recurring system issues or process bottlenecks and implement preventive measures to avoid future disruptions or performance degradation.
- Work with business users and technical teams to resolve critical incidents, prioritize change requests, and perform system enhancements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any recurring issues and provide solutions to address underlying problems, ensuring long-term stability and system performance.
- Monitor system performance continuously and collaborate with technical teams to optimize SAP MM configurations for efficiency.
- Maintain and update functional documentation, including system designs, configuration changes, testing procedures, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge transfer materials.
