We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage comprehensive accounts payable processes across development projects and operating properties. You will oversee invoice processing, construction cost coding, payment administration, vendor relations, and month-end reconciliations using Yardi and Excel.Your Impact* AP Processing & Coding: Process and enter vendor invoices for development projects and property operations; review for accuracy, proper approval, and correct general ledger cost coding; match with purchase orders or contracts; and manage recurring expenses like utilities and insurance.
* Payment Administration & Vendor Management: Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers in alignment with cash-flow budgets; maintain organized transaction records; manage W-9s and insurance certificates; and resolve vendor inquiries and billing disputes.
* Development & Construction Payables: Process construction-related invoices, verify cost coding against development budgets and job cost reports, coordinate with construction managers, and track lien waivers.
* Reconciliations & Reporting: Reconcile vendor statements and AP aging reports, assist with month-end close and expense accruals, perform quality control testing, and prepare reports for the Controller or Ownership.What You Bring* Education & Credentials: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

2 to 5 years of accounts payable experience, with strong background exposure to real estate, construction, or property management highly preferred.
* Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized accounting software (experience with Yardi is a strong advantage).
