The Elite Job is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Support Technician to join our remote IT support team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in networking and technical support while working from the comfort of their home. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining network systems, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for network-related issues via phone, email, or chat
- Monitor network performance and report any irregularities or outages
- Assist in configuring routers, switches, and other networking equipment
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues including LAN, WAN, and VPN
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with senior network engineers for issue escalation and resolution
- Support system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance tasks
- Ensure adherence to company security policies and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools is a plus
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+) are advantageous but not mandatory
Experience
- Freshers and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Prior internship or academic project experience in networking or IT support is a plus
- Any hands‑on exposure to troubleshooting or technical support will be beneficial
Working Hours
