About the role
Support in accounting for the restaurants, catering, and meal services. QuickBooks is the main priority. Review information from Square POS, OpenTable, and other platforms to help the CEO make better business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Keep QuickBooks updated and transactions properly categorized
- Organize invoices, receipts, and other financial records
- Match bank and credit card transactions with records
- Check that Square POS and delivery-platform deposits are correct
- Keep income and expenses organized separately for each business
- Work with the outside accountant to resolve questions and prepare needed records
- Create and send invoices for catering and meal-service clients
- Track payments and follow up on unpaid invoices
- Review Square sales, OpenTable reservations, and delivery-platform sales to understand business performance
- Prepare weekly cash updates and monthly income and expense reports for each business
About you
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented, accurate, dependable, and comfortable following up
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong follow-up and accountability skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Able to explain numbers in plain language
- Willing to learn the businesses and the platforms used
- Proven experience and specialization in accounting and business analytics in the restaurant and hospitality setup
- Strong familiarity with restaurant operations and ability to work effectively in remote setup for US client
- Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Square POS, OpenTable, and task management systems
