Role Summary
This position is for an exciting role with a large international sports retailer client. The role will be responsible for analyzing a wide variety of contract requests from client's business users, communicating with legal and business stakeholders to gather required information, navigating and managing requests within the client's CLM tool, as well as drafting and negotiating NDAs, Work Orders, MSAs and other agreement types. All tasks will be performed in both Mandarin and English.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Drafting:
- Drafting and negotiation of various agreements and other duties as necessary.
- Communicating with in-house counsel and other legal department stakeholders.
Intake:
- Review contract requests in detail for completeness and accuracy.
- Communicate via email and/or telephone with legal and business stakeholders to gather required information.
Signature:
- Submitting contracts for e-signature according to defined policies and procedures.
Reporting:
- Preparing ad hoc reports per request from business clients.
Storage:
- Updating metadata in contract repository per request from business clients.
- Responding to process questions.
- Responding to questions about corporate contracting policy and requirements.
- Responding to questions about the status of the contracts in the process.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Required language(s): Mandarin.
- Must be able to multitask, organize, plan, and prioritize work and activities, as well as monitor production, processes, and related materials.
- Must be detail-oriented, able to quickly and accurately process and analyze information, and be able to make appropriate decisions and solve problems.
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written with internal and external persons and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and be comfortable with peer review.
- Must be able to effectively use computers and various software such as CLM tools and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Education and Experience:
- Candidate must be a qualified attorney in at least 1 jurisdiction.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably 1-4 years of commercial contract/drafting experience.
