Hammemill Operator

About the role

Operates and tends machine that grinds materials for stocks and poultry feeds in accordance with specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and receive from Production Supervisor the daily production schedule / line-up
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor and Agency Leadman on ensuring complete manpower for RM withdrawals and Intake
• Receive from Production Supervisor the required Formulations/Weighing Guides of the scheduled feeds for production
• Conduct Initial Inspection of the Hammermill, check hammermill screen and replace if needed, check hammermill blades, shafting, screen holder/locks and clean magnets
• Conduct initial inspection of Intake hopper, screw conveyors, filter bag aspirators and elevators to check if operational
• Start the following machines: Intake screw Conveyor, Intake Elevator, Hammermill, Batching Conveyor and Filter bag Aspirators
• Record and ensure correct weight of RM are withdrawn/transferred by workers from RM pile to Intake hopper
• Constantly coordinate with Pellet mill Operator and Bagging Operator to ensure continuous flow of batching operation
• Ensure allocation of enough emptying time in between feed types to avoid intermixing
• Report and record all breakdowns/delay that may occur during operation

About you

• Must be a graduate of Mechanical or Electrical or Industrial Engineering
• Must have good hand and eye coordination and familiar with the machine handled
• Has the ability to adapt in fast changing environment
• Can manage various projects simultaneously
• Can apply 5S programs in the work place
