Overview

The Building Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of NBS stores' facilities.

Education Required

Graduate of Bachelor's Degree, and extensive training and/or specialized certification or licensing

Experience Required

Minimum three (3) years of progressive and full-time experience in maintenance and project supervision. Experience in estimating is a must.

License / Certification Required

Licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer

Duties and Essential Functions
  • Inspection of all facilities of National Book Store Commercial Center
  • Daily inspection of perimeter areas, including but not limited to inspection and operation of Bush Water Cooled Chillers and Fan Coil Units for the building's air-conditioning system; Condenser Pumps and Chilled Water Pumps for air conditioning system; Cooling Towers for air conditioning system; Fan Coil Units' correct and proper temperature settings; Inspection of Low Voltage Switch Gears and Automatic Transfer Switches; 628 KVA Monark Caterpillar and 512 KVA Cummins generator set.
  • Monitoring of fuel availability and remote radiator water level
  • Inspection / operation of all escalators and elevators
  • Inspection / operation of domestic hydro pneumatic pumps and sewage ejector pumps
  • Inspection of drainage and sewage lines for scheduled de-clogging
  • Inspection of Fire Alarm Control Panels and other fire detection devices
  • Inspection of Fire Pumps and Jockey Pumps
