Junior–Mid Level Data Engineer

Location: BGC, Taguig
Work Setup: Hybrid

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior–Mid Level Data Engineer to join our team and support the development, maintenance, and optimization of data solutions in a cloud environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS, Python, and SQL, with a strong interest in building and improving data pipelines, processing data, and supporting data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Work with AWS cloud services to store, process, and manage data.

  • Develop Python scripts for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks.

  • Support data integration and migration activities across different data sources.

  • Troubleshoot data pipeline and processing issues and implement appropriate solutions.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to deliver data solutions.

  • Maintain technical documentation for data processes and solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

  • 1–4 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, Data Analytics Engineering, or a related role.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and its data-related services.

  • Strong Python programming/scripting skills.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

  • Understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, and data quality.

  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, or EMR.

  • Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar databases.

  • Exposure to data warehousing or data lakes.

  • Experience with Git/version control.

  • Knowledge of data modeling and cloud-based data architectures.
