Associate Lawyer

Our BGC law firm is looking for two (2) junior to mid-level associates. The ideal candidates will have experience in legal research, drafting of legal memorandums and opinions, familiar with corporate housekeeping matters, experienced in contract drafting and review, with at least some experience appearing in administrative or judicial proceedings. We are looking for a team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience in working on tax audits, corporate special projects, or court litigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide legal support to clients and assist partners
  2. Maintain client relationships
  3. Review and draft corporate or other legal documents
  4. Conduct legal research
  5. Prepare legal opinions and memorandums
  6. Attend client meetings
  7. Represent clients in pre-litigation dispute resolution processes

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor degree from a reputable school
  2. Bar passer and licensed to practice law in the Philippines in good standing
  3. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple competing priorities and responsibilities
  4. Highly organized with acute attention to detail
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Junior to Mid-Level Associates (with 6 mos. to 3+ years PQE) may expect a gross monthly salary offer between PhP45,000 to PhP70,000 [excluding other non-cash benefits], and depending on credentials and experience. Non-cash benefits may include: medical and dental HMO, performance bonus, subsidized meals (lunch, coffee, and snacks), assigned mobile phone with postpaid line, gym membership, etc., as may be negotiated.

Senior Level Associates (at least 4+ years PQE) are encouraged to apply with higher expected gross salary offer, depending on credentials and experience.
