Mechanical Technician

About the role

Perform maintenance and lubrications activities that include preventive maintenance routine, repair, installation and modification of mechanical & lubrication equipment to ensure high equipment availability and reliability within set safety & quality standard in a cost effective manner.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance routine and planned corrective works
• Fix broken or malfunctioning parts of plant equipment and machineries including lubrication equipment
• Provide feedback on machine and lubrication equipment parts/components that needs revision or modification
• Conduct actual implementation of mechanical repair works; install, maintain, modify and fabricate machine parts and lubrication equipment
• Provide basic mechanical & lubrication knowledge & services; and conduct troubleshooting to correct and restore operating condition of all mechanical machineries and lubrication system
• Operate machine shop equipment, precision lifting equipment, and special tools needed for a job
• Perform welding jobs, fabrication, overhauling, calibration and mechanical assembly in the workplace or in the shop

About you

• Graduate of mechanical technology course or equivalent experience
• Three (3) years exposure in mechanical maintenance works
• Background in lubrication technology
• Must be a registered plant mechanic
