Job DescriptionAs a Lead QA Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, running, and maintaining manual and automation test suites to ensure the quality of our software applications. You will be part of our DevOps team that validates our software against internal and external standards to deliver high-quality applications for our customers.To succeed, you should have a natural analytical thinking ability and be able to explain complex concepts to non-technical users. This role involves planning, implementing, leading, and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing. It requires hands-on QA expertise, initiative, and the ability to develop and improve QA processes. The ideal candidate can analyze systems to determine what and how to test, prioritizing testing efforts effectively.The candidate should be technically savvy, possess excellent communication skills, and be accountable for issue ownership. Project Management or Scrum Master experience is preferred to work efficiently within Agile Scrum teams and stakeholders.Responsibilities
  • Establish and improve formal QA processes following industry best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison among development, QA, support, and management teams across multiple companies.
  • Develop and refine test strategies.
  • Create and execute test plans for web and mobile applications in an Agile environment.
  • Develop and run test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated) for continuous testing.
  • Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution.
  • Integrate test case execution into CI/CD pipelines to align with DevOps strategies.
  • Encourage the team to design for testability.
  • Contribute to defining acceptance criteria, requirements, and user stories.
  • Respond promptly to team requests.
  • Lead and mentor QA team members and manage external contractors.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to stay updated on new technologies and ensure system testability.
  • Operate independently across various organizational levels.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience testing web and mobile software.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technology-related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and testing cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity).
  • Experience translating requirements into test cases and developing robust test suites.
  • Experience in UI/Visual testing for 5+ years.
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams for 5+ years.
  • Experience testing APIs (SOAP) for 5+ years.
  • 3+ years testing event-driven microservices, message queues, and event brokers.
  • Programming skills (C#, Java, JS, SQL) are a plus.
  • Experience with automation tools like Selenium or RestAPI is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in creating requirements documents and specifications.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and presentation skills.
  • Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with development teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a complex, dynamic environment with good organizational skills.
  • Effective written communication skills for documentation and bug reporting.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and capable of prioritizing tasks.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
  • Willing to work 5 days a week in a compressed schedule.
  • Willing to work onsite at Calle Industria, Bagumbayan, Quezon City.
