Join the Revenue Cycle Management team of a leading US healthcare group. We're hiring for a Charge Entry function and welcome applications from both Senior Charge Entry Specialists looking to deepen their expertise and Charge Entry Supervisors/Team Leads open to a specialized US healthcare account. This role is responsible for accurate, timely charge entry on surgical and other physician-billed services, and for resolving front-end billing and claim edits before claims reach the payer.
What you'll do
Accurately enter surgical and other assigned charges based on physician-provided coding within the practice management system
Review physician documentation for completeness and route coding questions to the appropriate team rather than altering codes independently
Research and resolve front-end claim edits — demographics, insurance info, provider info, coding combinations, modifiers, and authorization mismatches — before submission
Validate that authorizations align with billed procedures, coordinating with clinical and authorization teams to resolve discrepancies
Monitor assigned work queues to keep charge entry and claims within department turnaround times
Document research, actions, and resolutions clearly for team continuity
Flag recurring errors or workflow issues to leadership to support process improvement
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, medical billing, charge entry, or claims processing — candidates currently in a Charge Entry Supervisor, Team Lead, or QA capacity are also encouraged to apply
Direct experience entering charges and/or resolving front-end billing/claim edits
Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers
Experience with an EMR, practice management, or patient accounting system (athenaOne experience a strong plus)
Orthopedic or surgical charge entry/billing experience preferred
Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and Workers' Compensation payer types
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple work queues under productivity and quality standards
Amenable to work ONSITE on a NIGHT SHIFT
