Role: Bookkeeper
Work Arrangement: Work From Home
Schedule: Night Shift

Job Description:

  1. Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to the home, including mortgage payments, insurance, taxes, utility bills, and maintenance costs.
  2. For those managing HOA accounts, track dues, fees, and other financial obligations from homeowners, record income from assessments, and handle budgeting for communal expenses.
  3. Regularly reconcile bank and credit card statements related to property expenses, ensuring accuracy and consistency with the homeowner's records.
  4. Prepare and mail annual 1099s.
  5. Offer general financial advice regarding the homeowner's property-related finances, including opportunities to save, improve cash flow, and understand their financial position.
  6. Ensure all financial records related to the property are organized, up-to-date, and accessible for future reference or audits.
  7. Create and send monthly financial reports.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with a focus on financial maintenance and reporting.
  3. Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and a willingness to learn new platforms.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
