About the role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our Finance team on a full-time basis in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career in accounting or bookkeeping who is eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment. You will play a vital role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of our organization, supporting day-to-day financial operations and contributing to the broader financial management of Artisan Cellars and Fine Foods, Inc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recording daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses in accounting systems and ledgers
- Reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice preparation and payment processing
- Assisting with the preparation and organization of financial documentation and supporting records
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for audit and compliance purposes
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and reconciliations
- Performing data entry tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
- Assisting with general administrative finance duties as required
- Collaborating with the Finance team to ensure smooth financial operations and meeting deadline
Job Qualifications:
- A qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–2 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with systems such as Data Entry, Peachtree or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles, basic accounting concepts, and financial reconciliation procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently whilst being part of a collaborative team environment
- Professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality in handling financial information
- A willingness to learn and develop your accounting knowledge and skills in a supportive setting
