About the role
This role involves coordinating shipments and managing sales activities for a logistics or freight forwarding operation. You will work with clients, overseas agents, carriers, brokers, and consolidators to ensure smooth shipment processing and business development.
Key responsibilities
Inquire standard and special rates/charges from overseas agents, carriers, brokers, truckers and consolidators
Prepare and send out proposals to clients within parameters and organize adequate follow-up
Coordinate and book shipments with clients, overseas agents, coloaders/carriers, and brokers
Ensure proper endorsement and shipment coordination with the operations department
Conduct telesales for moving and non-moving accounts
Assist the customer service department on job-related duties as assigned by the Sales/Customer Service team
