- A crane operator uses heavy machinery to move, position, and lift materials and equipment. They work in a variety of industries, including construction, mining, and warehousing.
- Responsibilities
- Maintain cranes: Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating
- Communicate: Work with other workers, contractors, or planners to understand job requirements
- Record activities: Maintain logs and records of operation activitie
- Inspect cranes: Check cranes for defects and wear before use
- Calculate load capacity: Determine the weight of items to be moved in relation to the crane's maximum capacity
- Ensure safety: Follow safety guidelines and protocols
