JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of BS Customs Administration or a related course

  • Licensed Customs Broker is an advantage, but not required

  • With at least 1 year of experience in importation, preferably sea freight shipments

  • Knowledge in Applying for ICC (Import Commodity Clearance) or other permits as needed

  • Experience in import documentation, customs clearance, and coordination with customs brokers/freight forwarders

  • Knowledgeable in the import/export process, customs requirements, tariff classification, duties, and taxes

  • Familiar with import documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Import Declaration, and other customs-related documents

  • Able to monitor and follow up shipment arrival, customs clearance, and cargo release

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, especially when handling multiple shipments and documents

  • Can work with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned shipments

  • Good communication and coordination skills in dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and may be considered for training

  • Willing to work in South Caloocan

  • Preferably residing in South Caloocan or nearby areas

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Handle and monitor the importation and customs clearance process of Synchronicity Select shipments, primarily through sea freight

  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, suppliers, and other logistics partners to facilitate timely shipment clearance and release

  • Prepare, check, organize, and maintain import and customs documentation for accuracy and completeness

  • Monitor shipment schedules, vessel arrivals, customs processing, assessment, payment, and cargo release

  • Assist in reviewing tariff classifications, customs duties, taxes, and other import-related charges

  • Ensure that required customs and import documents are submitted accurately and on time

  • Track shipment status and proactively follow up on delays, missing documents, customs concerns, and other clearance issues

  • Coordinate with the Purchasing, Finance, Warehouse, and Operations teams regarding incoming shipments, landed costs, and expected arrival dates

  • Maintain organized records of import shipments, customs documents, expenses, and clearance status

  • Help identify ways to improve the company's importation, customs, and logistics processes

  • Assist in monitoring import-related costs such as duties, taxes, freight, handling, demurrage, and other charges

  • Perform other importation, logistics, and customs-related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or management
