Job Description
Failure Analysis Operator (JG3)
Responsibilities
- Support in performing analytical services such as External Visual Inspection (EVI), X-ray, Scanning Acoustic Tomography (SAT) inspection.
- Prepare and clean samples/packages to ensure they are suitable for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) verification.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including withdrawal and shipment of samples or laboratory supplies.
- Handle request processing, including acceptance/update in the system, SAT report generation, system closure, and creation of basic material analysis reports when required.
- Maintain organized archiving of completed requests, ensure proper safekeeping and updating of KGU database in the laboratory.
- Conduct daily 5S activities at assigned workstations and actively participate in weekly audits within the Product Analysis Laboratory (PAL) area.
- Understands and follows safety protocols in handling laboratory tools, chemicals, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicates effectively with engineers and team members, providing clear documentation and feedback on inspection results or collected data.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Sr. Highschool and or technical vocational course, preferably in electronics, mechanical technology, or a related field.
- Entry level applicants are welcome; however, prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom operations is an advantage.
- Demonstrates basic analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to follow standard operating procedures in semiconductor failure analysis.
- Skilled in using inspection and analysis tools commonly found in semiconductor labs, including optical microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), Scanning Acoustic Tomography (SAT), and X-ray systems.
- Knowledgeable in cleanroom protocols and safety procedures, ensuring safe handling of sensitive devices, chemicals, and equipment in compliance with industry standards.
- Proficient in basic computer operations, including Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data logging, reporting, and presentation preparation.
