Job description

Position: Accounting Associate (Full-Time)
Location: Makati City

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage Accounts Payable / Disbursements
  • Process BIR Remittances (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually)
  • Handle VAT, Compensation, Expanded, and Income Tax calculations
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable (SAWT, EWT, SLSP)
  • Assist in payroll preparation
  • Prepare Financial Statements and related schedules
  • Perform Bank Reconciliation
  • Handle BIR Letters of Authority (LOAs)
  • Manage bookkeeping tasks
  • Implement new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Provide accurate, timely recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes
  • Act as the primary contact for auditor inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Familiarity with tax calculations (VAT, EWT, CWT, etc.)
  • 6 months to 1 year of accounting/finance experience
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with MYOB Accounting software is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
