Paid Media Specialist (Performance Marketing)
Shortlisted candidates may be hired by October 19.
The Role
This is a high-caliber, high-growth marketing team with ambitions to scale significantly further. They are adding paid media capacity — not to maintain what is running, but to push harder on what is already working and open up what is next.
As an Executive Partner in paid media, you will own the performance of the ad channels we give you. You buy the media, watch the numbers every day, and tell the team what they mean and what to do next.
Leadership does not open the ad platforms. They read your report. That means your report has to be right every single day, and it has to come with a point of view, not just a set of figures.
For your first month or two you will bring your recommendations to the marketing lead for approval. Once you have shown you can read the numbers, you optimise on your own.
What You'll Do
What you own
How your channels perform. Keep the channels assigned to you running, and grow them. That means managing the spend, creating and managing the ad accounts, setting up a replacement when one gets rejected, and flagging billing before a lapse stops our campaigns.
The daily report. Build and maintain it across every funnel, and know why each formula works rather than just where to type the number. Leadership never opens the ad platforms, they read your report. It has to be right every day.
How the agency content performs. Several agencies produce and post content for us. You get it live as ads on time, and you own how it does once it is running.
Keeping the accounts alive. Our product category is high risk for ad and account bans. Monitor policy changes, spot the risk early, and act before a channel gets disrupted.
Spotting things first. Flag underperformance, anomalies or opportunities before anyone asks.
What you work out
Analyze the data. Not just what happened, but why, and what to do next.
Analyze creatives against performance and say what we should make more of
Research what is working for other brands and competitors. Not just ads: landing pages, messaging, offers and campaign strategies. Bring back specific things we should test, and draft the advertorials yourself (AI tools welcome).
Look beyond your own assignment. Check what is happening on the other channels so you understand the whole picture.
What you run day to day
Launch ads at volume across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Taboola and Google. Several hundred a week, mostly through bulk tools rather than one at a time.
Work with our internal creative team and our external agencies on what is coming and when
Work directly with platform reps on rejections, approvals and questions
What Success Looks Like at 90 Days
Your channels are growing. Spend and revenue up, ROAS held at target.
You have a repeatable way to test creatives, and you are consistently finding and scaling the winners.
Nothing has stopped. No campaign down because of a billing lapse, a rejected account, or a policy change you did not see coming.
Your reports are trusted. Leadership decides off them without going to check the platforms.
You are bringing ideas, not just numbers. Things you found working for other brands that we should be testing.
What We're Looking For
You understand how paid ads work on at least one platform. Not just uploading. You know what to check, what to look at, and why. This is the one thing we cannot train from zero.
Initiative. You see what needs doing and you do it. We can tell within a week who has this and who does not.
You ask questions constantly. We would rather you ask ten times a day than stay quiet and hand in a report with mistakes in it.
You treat the work as yours. The people who do well here push on something because they spotted the opportunity, not because someone asked them to.
Strong attention to detail. Accuracy in the data, polish in the presentation.
Able to present data clearly. Formatting, structure and visual clarity matter.
Open to working on any platform. Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Taboola, Google. You may be strongest on one, but you will not get to stay there.
Comfortable with bulk launch tooling like AdManage or Revealbot, or able to pick it up fast. You cannot do this volume one ad at a time.
Comfortable with spreadsheets, dashboards, and numbers
Familiarity with Google Sheets or Excel
Has used AI tools in their workflow (preferred, not required)
Agency or in-house media buying experience is a plus. Time served matters less than knowing what you are looking at.
