Nail Salon Receptionist

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Nail Salon Receptionist to join our team at I Do Nails. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be comfortable handling cash and administrative tasks, and be capable of supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the salon.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist clients upon arrival, recommend appropriate salon services and promotions, and handle client inquiries, bookings, appointments, and walk-ins
• Manage the appointment calendar and coordinate client schedules
• Process payments accurately and issue receipts
• Handle client concerns professionally and coordinate with management when necessary
• Manage the rotation of nail technicians and assign services fairly in accordance with salon policies
• Monitor and maintain accurate daily attendance records for all nail technicians
• Encode daily sales, services rendered, and nail technician commissions accurately in Google Sheets
• Handle cash and non-cash transactions accurately and responsibly, prepare and deposit daily cash sales
• Monitor inventory levels of nail products, salon supplies, and other consumables
• Process mall gate pass applications and work permit requests through the mall's online portal

About you

• At least a high school graduate; vocational training or college education is an advantage
• Previous experience as a receptionist, cashier, sales associate, or administrative assistant is preferred
• Experience in a nail salon, beauty salon, spa, or retail establishment is an advantage
• Basic proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and other computer applications
• Good numerical skills and the ability to handle cash and maintain accurate records
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Honest, trustworthy, responsible, and dependable
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work on weekends and holidays in accordance with the salon's operating schedule
