International Food Services (IFS) is an independently owned maritime catering organization. We offer maritime catering solutions of the highest quality and monitor the consumption on board and deliveries for our clients in the shipping industry. We achieve this by training and supporting the crew on board and improving the well-being on board of the crew.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Are you ready to be the bridge between our trainees and the heart of our operations? In this role, you'll be the go-to person connecting our organisation with the talented chief cooks we train for our clients. You'll track crew performance through data insights, keep the team motivated with ongoing engagement, and be a driving force behind the success of our IFS Chief Cook's club. The main tasks/responsibilities will be:

  1. Responsible for crew training and development monitoring.
  2. Responsible for performance monitoring and crew/trainees data analysis.
  3. Active role in maintaining social media presence.
  4. Coordinates and keeps the IFS galley crew in contact and provides support/assistance when needed.
  5. Creates programs and activities for crew engagement and to foster community building of our Chief Cooks club.
  6. Other administrative or supportive tasks in role of the engagement of our community.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Bus. Administration, or related field.
  2. Has work experience in the maritime or crewing industry.
  3. Experience as a chief cook is a plus.
  4. Proficient in computer use (MS Office suite) along with LMS.
  5. Must be able to work independently.
  6. Strong communication skills are a must.
  7. Has good time management skills.
  8. Ability to prioritize tasks and can multitask.
  9. Flexible, able to handle pressure and can manage stress.
