Position Summary

Manufacturing Engineering Group is Philippine factory's support to New Product's Introduction, it is tasked to collaborate with Design Engineering for a Pro-Active participation on Design for Manufacturing reviews of new models, and their corresponding Standard Times.

Responsibilities

  • CAD DFM compliance reviews of Power Supply Assemblies such as PCB layout, Magnetics, and Wires Assemblies before the files are released for NPI builds in the factory
  • Participate in mechanical design conceptual reviews with Design Engineers.
  • Provide a DFM compliance assessment of Power Supply Assemblies, from Proto up to DVT stage.
  • Work with Design Engineers and the Manufacturing Engineering Process teams during NPI builds for DFM related concerns.
  • Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, for continuous update of DFM rules.
  • Generate Standard Times for RFQs, to determine the Labor Overhead cost of New Projects, and update the standard times of NPI builds.
  • Carry out activities related to the generation and updates of new or existing Methods Time Measurement Standard Time Elements with the Factory-IE.

Skills

  • Understanding of the different types soldering processes involved on printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Able to identify potential assembly difficulties that go against the existing rules of DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
  • Knowledge in Time and Motion Study

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Engineering or any related courses.
  • At least 3 years' experience in an electronics manufacturing facility.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work in a cross-cultural team, assertive, good leadership, team player, and flexible
