About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Civil Quantity Surveyor/Estimator with at least 3years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in cost estimation, tendering, bill of quantities (BoQ) and Material Take Off (MTO) preparation.Proficiency in CostX softwareis essential to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost analysis. Sample projects include construction and refurbishment of private residential, commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tendering & Cost Estimation:
- Review tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Conduct detailed cost estimation for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BoQ) using industry-standard measurement techniques.
- Perform accurate Material Take-Offs (MTO) – measuring and quantifying project materials.
- Enter and manage data for bid evaluations. Ensure competitive and accurate pricing strategies for project bids.
- Detailed Cost Planning & Budgeting:
- Prepare Detailed Cost Plans to ensure project financial accuracy.
- Analyze project scope, develop cost breakdowns, and apply unit rates based on industry benchmarks.
- Implement Value Engineering (VE) studies to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
- Final Tender Submission & Documentation:
- Prepare pricing schedules and trade breakdowns for final tender submissions.
- Ensure compliance with client submission guidelines and deadlines.
- Maintain and update tender documentation and project records.
- Coordination & Compliance:
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for accurate cost data and pricing.
- Assist in post-tender negotiations and clarification meetings with clients.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Method of Measurement (ANZSMM) and company guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation, tendering, or construction procurement.
- Proficiency in using CostX (or similar estimating/QS software) and MS Excel is a must
- Familiarity with MS Project is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of BoQ/MTO preparation and cost planning methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, contracts, and tender documents.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and English communication skills.
- Familiarity with Australian construction industry standards and regulations is a plus.
- A quick learner with a proactive, can-do attitude. Efficient, organized, and committed to high-quality outputs.
- Willing to work on-site inArcovia, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City. (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm)
