The Assistant Accounting Manager supports the Accounting Manager in overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities. The role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely preparation of financial records and reports while assisting in maintaining effective accounting controls and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Accounting Manager in managing daily accounting operations and financial activities
- Supervise and review the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Review and monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and other accounting transactions
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure timely recording, reconciliation, and analysis of accounting transactions
- Perform and review bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and other financial accounts
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders as needed
- Assist in preparing financial analysis, management reports, and accounting schedules
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or leadership experience
- MUST BE CPA
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience with accounting software and financial management systems
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
