The Architectural Apprentice supports the architectural team in various aspects of the design and construction process. They work under the supervision of senior architects and contribute to the development of architectural plans, drawings, and specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
Design Development - assist in conceptualization and development of architectural designs
Drafting and Documentation - produce detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
Project Coordination - collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project goals are met
Code Compliance - stay informed about building codes and regulations to ensure designs comply with local and international standards
Site Visits - conduct site visits to gather information, assess site conditions, and ensure design alignment during construction
Client Interaction - participate in meetings with clients to understand their requirements and preferences
Research and Development - contribute to the research and development of innovative design solutions
Communication - communicate effectively within the architectural team and with external collaborators
Technology Proficiency - stay current with advancements n architectural software and tools
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Previous internship or relevant work experience is a plus, otherwise fresh graduates are acceptable
Proficiency in CAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and other relevant design tools
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Creative skills
Willing to work in field / site projects
