The Quantity Surveyor is primarily tasked to validate bid documents and ensure completeness and accuracy. Shall quantify and estimate corresponding costs for all materials and labor needed in all project proposals based on prevalent construction cost. Shall ensure that all materials specifications are compliant to SLMC standards. Shall evaluate the project and provide analysis on the financial aspects of the proposed bids and quotations. Shall also assist in monitoring project compliance to the requirements of the project. Ensures implementation and maintenance of safety programs.

Job Summary:

  • Validates cost and material estimates from project owner, external QS, and vendors.

  • Supports in preparing annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets.

  • Supports in managing and/or monitoring milestones of projects implemented by FME.

  • Maintains the needed documents properly throughout the project execution until the project closes out (From PR to Completion and Billing).

  • Prepares, submits, and reports section's weekly and monthly accomplishments and project status progress reports required documents/reports, and gives feedback, critical information, and updates as necessary and as required by the SVP and Head for HO.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture Allied Course, or Construction Management.

  • Minimum five (5) years' work experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry.

  • With Active PRC License.

  • Certification in Quantity Surveying is an advantage.

  • With experience in hospital/building facilities maintenance.

  • Knowledge of basic fire-fighting and incidents, principle accident prevention.

  • Proficient in project cost estimates and cost management techniques.

  • Preferably AUTOCAD proficient and knowledgeable in 3D presentations.

  • Must be familiar with and able to handle basic safety, architectural, civil, and electrical works.

  • Read and interpret engineering and design plans, specifications, and details.
