Position Overview

Senior Platform Reliability Engineer to join the Information Systems – Platform-as-a-Service team. In this role, you will build, handle, and support Data and Analytics platforms.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and build cloud automation workflows and support the cloud blueprint. Automate platform maintenance, updates, security enhancements and other administrative tasks. Deliver business cloud solutions by implementing cloud resources (provisioning, hardening, etc.).
• Support hands-on cloud platform provisioning and configuration management coding, development, and deployment. Support the architecture team to support design and configure the data and analytics landscapes.
• Continuously improve monitoring and logging for the cloud area and enable end-to-end monitoring and dashboard reporting. Standardize the runbook by automating standard BAU tasks.
• Create and maintain operational/user documentation for engineering products/solutions. Build automation and scripting for the runbook to support 24x7 operations and monitoring teams.
• Conduct new cloud platform testing, runbook updates, and packaging as cloud service offerings to business users. Plan and implement vital controls/activities for infrastructure and platform changes. Assist in planning, implementing, and reviewing capacity planning (resource limits) and report/recommend to management as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading a large implementation of related technologies
• Hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS & IT Service Management (Incident, Change, Request)
• Expertise with DevOps tools and IaC programming such as Terraform, Python, PowerShell for infrastructure automation and management
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and repository management (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Knowledge of infrastructure services provisioning, security concepts, and standard methodologies on IaaS and PaaS models to support data and analytics solutions
• Understanding of networking infrastructure and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, DHCP, Load balancing, Replication, SSH)
• Amenable to work at UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
• Amenable to work on a hybrid setup (3x a week onsite)
• Amenable to work on a fixed night shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL & Azure Certifications
• Experience in Agile
• Microsoft Certifications (MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE)
• Passion for adopting and testing the cloud and new IT technology
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge with team members
• Strong understanding of project scheduling and task-driven project work
• Strong communication and technical skills; prior experience mentoring teams and working in a process-driven environment
