• Act as the day-to-day operational manager for any design managers or other design management resource deployed to projects.
• You will be responsible for leading the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes and sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development.
• You will be the main point of contact for client design issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained.

You'll need to have:

• Educated to degree level preferably in design relevant discipline (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of the construction and consultancy industries.
• Building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments, and health and safety legislation.
• Good knowledge and application of design management. systems, design risk management and mitigation.
• Excellent knowledge of prefabrication/build strategies.
• Extensive multiple sectors experience delivering different building types.
• Display good negotiation skills to support the client/customer focus.

You'll also have:

• Ability to lead others and delegate effectively.

• Acts as central point of contact for project and relevant stakeholders, internal and externally, operating within an inclusive environment.

• Maintains impartiality and takes pragmatic approach evaluating evidence.
• Ability to take initiative and make appropriate decisions.
• Good BIM literacy, BIM management and BIM Deliverables.
• Good technical knowledge to challengeprojects/design/proposals.
