About the role

As an Accounting Finance Associate Night Shift at Business Trends Philippines, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial operations and reporting. This full-time position, based in our Ortigas, Pasig City office, will involve a range of responsibilities within the Financial Accounting & Reporting function.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manual interest pilots for North America with a team of 4 working on impact pool of around 100-150 customers every quarter. They need to manage the whole manual process including:
    1. Reviewing contracts to identify if we CAN charge interests (most have interest verbiage)
    2. Selection of accounts and evaluation
    3. Tracking of status
    4. Issuing of notification
    5. Issuing of statistical documents for 3 months and knowing WHEN is best to do it
    6. Cancellation of documents
    7. And if a customer pays interest, then accounting for the paid interests
  2. The team will also analyze if it will be beneficial for other global regions.
  • Collect cash target for low volume segment customers via email/phone daily via FICA worklist or aging report
  • Maintain around 600-700 accounts, providing invoice copies, statement of account, answering customer queries, and maintaining contact in CRM
  • Each contact made is recorded by the collector through a note in the system via ISP/FICA
  • Proactively call customers as needed based on the daily aging report to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Align with the responsible team through dispute case creation and ticketing system if there are customer inquiries and monitoring of such cases
  • Refund processing as needed via SAP tool
  • Escalate to management team any problem that holds the collection process to flow
  • Assist in reports obtained in FIAR/FICA
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as sending Final Demand Letters, gathering documents for third party endorsed accounts
  • Assist in accounts to be processed for termination

Qualifications:

  1. Finance experience
  2. Experience with SAP System
  3. Quick learner
  4. Someone that plans & analyzes, not just taking instructions. Above tasks b. and e. need a sharp & thinking mind. While we can coach them initially, they are expected to be fully functional without too much handholding.
  5. Reporting knowledge & analytical skills would be preferred.
  6. Open-minded and tech-savvy as we need their input for any interest automation enhancement.
  7. The 2 Senior level contractors are expected to tag along when I need to talk to different teams about automation. Can't be shy to recommend enhancement ideas.
