Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Automotive Product Engineer to join our team As an Automotive Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the identification, development and management of automotive electronic tools at www.aetool.com. You will execute the product development process while collaborating with our product development team and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You will also facilitate training sessions and assist with new product launches. You must have a passion for the products you work with and keep expanding product knowledge. You should have a keen eye for spotting market trends, a willingness to inspire clients, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Conducting market research and analyzing trends.
  2. Provide technical support and services to customers and users of the company products particularly Battery, Electronics and Diagnostic Tools.
  3. Identify trends, threats, competition, etc. that may positively or negatively influence market performance and report to management.
  4. Supervise and participate in exhibitions or roadshows when required.
  5. Document the product development process.
  6. Perform product demonstrations to staff and customers.
  7. Collaborate with the development team and Product Manager.
  8. Gather feedback and offer recommendations to the engineering team.
  9. Handle daily emails and reporting during business travel or support outside office hours whenever needed.
  10. Assist with the development of business plans.
  11. Identify new market opportunities and relay this information to the Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  12. Continuously expand knowledge of our product line.
  13. Answer all questions and address all concerns that customers may have.

Requirements:

  1. Degree holder in Automotive Engineering or any related courses.
  2. Extensive experience in highly technical or engineering jobs would be advantageous.
  3. Articulate and able to perform demonstrations that engage and inspire.
  4. Deadline-driven and willing to work after hours.
  5. Superb verbal and written communication skills, as well as great email etiquette.
  6. A strong growth mindset.
  7. Must be reliable and punctual.
  8. Desire to continue to develop skills and knowledge.
  9. Amenable to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
